Calibration Technician - Calibration Technologies (Columbia, Missouri)

Calibration Technologies is a fast growing company which provides on-site service of industrial gas detection systems primarily in the food industry, which includes food processing and cold storage plants in the continental U.S. Once trained, the successful candidate will operate independently, traveling to customers location for start-up, calibration, and/or repair a variety of gas detection systems in an industrial environment. A typical work week may include three nights in a hotel, with the remainder of the week working at home.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Calibrating, troubleshooting and repairing gas detection systems and sensors.
Identify, understand and test gas detection system and all relevant plant control functions.
Provide training and information to plant personnel, if required.
Communicate with customer to ensure understanding of service visit and address any system issues or concerns.
Be personable, professional, and courteous to plant personnel all of the time, every time.
Document all sensor calibration data and provide service report to customer
Occasionally perform bench repairs and assembly of gas detection equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS
A good understanding of electronic circuit fundamentals.
Familiarity with electronics test equipment and their use.
Familiarity with PLCs, relay logic, and industrial control systems.
Troubleshooting skills.
Soldering and circuit assembly tasks.
Strong communication skills.
The ability to work well in industrial environments
The ability to travel nationwide
Familiarity with standard PC applications.
Associates degree in electronics
2 years industrial controls experience
