Title: Deployment Planner/Scheduler

CTG is seeking a Deployment Planner/Scheduler to assist a client in Alexandria, VA area. Candidates must be local, as no travel expenses will be paid. Long term contract with potential extensions.
Responsibilities include:
* Plan and schedule work tasks and personnel.
* Gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects.
* Ensure that assignment and scheduling of work follows DoD policy.
* Evaluate current procedures and recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.
* Ensure desired results by determining and implementing objectives, and allocating appropriate resources.
* Interface with client sponsor on all aspects of the program.
* Manage a listing of a project's milestones, activities, and deliverables, with intended start and finish dates linked by dependencies and scheduled events.
* Work across the program, Implementation Contractor and deployment work breakdown structure to ensure all timelines are met.
* Provide consistent risk updates for scheduled activities and an analysis of why timelines are not being met.
* Collaborate across the DHS, MHS, DHMS, the deployment sites and the implementation team to ensure an established project scope consistent with the
* May lead and direct the work of others.
* Expected to provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
* Bachelor s degree or equivalent and at least 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area
* 10-15 years of scheduling and/or logistics support
* Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
* Demonstrated experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
* Experience with Project Management Tools a plus
* Healthcare IT experience preferred
