Pathology Education Coordinator Position - University of Missouri - Columbia (Columbia, MO)

The University of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Pathology & Anatomical Sciences is seeking an academically oriented pathologist to serve as the education coordinator for pathology learning objectives in our problem-based curriculum. The position requires an avid interest in teaching basic pathology, regular interaction with medical students, and strong organizational skills. Clinical service in anatomic pathology or pathobiology research is available, and the collegial environment provides substantial opportunities for intellectual creativity in both pathology and educational approaches.
Candidates must have an MD or DO, and if interested in clinical practice, must be qualified to hold an unrestricted Missouri medical license, and be AP, CP, or AP/CP certified by the American Board of Pathology. Primary responsibilities will require a substantial commitment in education (50-75% effort) with additional clinical service opportunities as desired. Academic rank will be based on academic record (open rank). Anticipated start date is May 2013 and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
