Job Description:
The Putnam County R-I School District is currently seeking applicants to fill a teaching vacancy in our Middle School/High School Social Studies and Health department. We are on an 8-period schedule, and high school responsibilities include World History (second semester course) - 2 sections, and a section of Sociology (second semester course). Middle school responsibilities include 7th grade social studies (2 sections), 7th grade health (1 section), and study skills (1 section).

A commitment to high quality professional development is essential. Administering formative assessments to make instructional decisions, communicating with parents and other team members about student progress, and planning for further instruction are all expectations of the successful applicant. Implementation of all aspects of Professional Learning Communities is expected as knowledge of the PLC process highly beneficial to students. We are a Google school, so integrating technology into teaching and professional activities is also an expectation. The successful applicant will hold a valid Missouri teaching certificate appropriate for the position.
