The IT Systems Administrator II acts as the IT advisor to a specific business line or multiple business lines ensuring they have the correct/best technologies in place to achieve their business objectives. Investigate and troubleshoot IT problems, recommend configurations of computer hardware and software systems, and manage and implement IT technology deployments.Key responsibilities include:Coordinate and support all IT related activities and initiatives for a specific business line, multiple business lines or business lines located at numerous different geographic locations. Work with the business lines to plan, support and implement desktop initiatives and projects.Possess a thorough understanding of business processes and requirements to effectively apply existing and emerging technologies to business problems to create practical solutions and efficiency opportunities.Educate, train and provide technical expertise in the use of IT tools as they relate to the business line. Keep current with new developments in the IT field, focusing on specific needs of the business lines.Work with all other areas of IT, including the service desk, Security, Telecom and development teams, to assure that IT standards are being followed to establish a secure computer environment for the business and that IT delivered solutions, applications and services are meeting the business requirements.Provide 7 X 24 second level IT support to their supported business lines.QualificationsAssociate's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, Mathematics or other computer related degree from an accredited college or university required. Consideration may be given to candidates with extensive related experience without the academic requirements. Three or more years of directly related IT experience required.In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:Knowledge of PC/workstation HW and SW.
