Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Work Location: Quarterdeck Building Department: Reimbursement/Managed Care Job Summary: Assists with the development, support and operation of the MedAssets tools, capturing key hospital statistical and financial information on a daily and monthly basis. Implement, maintain end user support and provide accurate reports and data for MUHC leadership and management across various settings. In addition, assists with and uses other reporting tools and performs various financial reporting and analysis as requested. Detailed Description: Support the development, maintenance and use of the MUHC Decision Support System to provide profitability, costing, reimbursement and statistical information (both MUHC and Capital Region Medical Center), includes providing real time financial and statistical information. Load, audit, reconcile data, to include maintenance and upgrading of system (ie tables, statistics, charges, costs, and reimbursement) and ensure accurate with other MUHC systems. Provide guidance and information to other MUHC departments to support organization goals including downloads, development, recommendations for work simplification and use of other software products that rely on the decision support system for information (ie Crimson, Cognos, Tableau). Work closely with vendor and MUHC IT (Tiger Institute) resources in the development, maintenance, testing and security of system. Design and develop complex reports and dashboards for financial analysis using various reporting tools. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Three or more years' experience in hospital information technology department with exposure to hospital billing and reimbursement and coding methodologies and requirements. Knowledge of software applications and interfaces between multiple computer systems. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and reporting skills. Ability to interface in multidisciplinary environment, working with Finance, Accounting, IT, Patient Finance (Revenue Cycle) and Managed Care Divisions.
