DB2 DBA/IMS DBA - CDI (Columbia, MO)

For DB2 and IMS DBA (EITHER DB2 DBA OR IMS DBA both would be great). For IMS: Primary Job Responsibilities: • Support medium to complex problem and change tickets for client’s IMS databases. Problem analysis and implementation of complex database changes to customer’s system. Support project related long term tasks. Work to standardize repeatable tasks and steps across multiple accounts within a pod while providing coaching and mentoring to the junior team members. This may require creating documentation or scripts that can be used to solve the same problem in the future. • Team members participate once or more a day in cadence discussion on team performance. They discuss issues or challenges, and receive trouble-shooting input /advice from other team members. They may also discuss team performance trends. Team members may also separately interact and exchange information with members of cross-pool teams. Required At least 2 years experience in IBM’s Information Management System (IMS) At least 2 years experience in MVS skill set using: TSO, ISPF, JCL, SDSF, SAR in varius customer environments At least 2 years experience in DBA experience maintaining the IMS database Structures – HALDB, Hidam, Hdam, Hisam, Shisam, and Logical relationships on multiple clients English: Fluent Preferred Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Information Technology At least 3 years experience in IBM’s Information Management System (IMS) At least 3 years experience in MVS skill set using: TSO, ISPF, JCL, SDSF, SAR in varius customer environments Basic knowledge in LEAN methodologies At least 3 years experience in DBA experience maintaining the IMS database Structures – HALDB, Hidam, Hdam, Hisam, Shisam, and Logical relationships on multiple clients For DB2: Key skills include physical DB2 database administrator functions including, but not limited to, database object creation and alters, implementation, image copies, reorgs, statistics collection and analysis, recoveries, performance tuning, schedule and manage maintenance of production application databases, disaster recovery testing, knowledge of TSO, z/OS, JCL skills, TWS (OPC), job scheduling utilities, and database management tools and utilities. Must be able to perform problem determination and resolution for supported application databases and maintenance utilities. Must be able to perform change management activities using standard change processes in support of application database related changes. Must be able to use and learn standard IBM DB2 utilities and DBMS related products to perform DBA tasks, be able to adhere to IBM processes, and where appropriate be able to adhere to FDA compliance requirements. Required High School Diploma/GED At least 2 years experience in DB2/zOS Database At least 6 months experience in at least one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant technologies English: Fluent Preferred Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Information Technology At least 3 years experience in DB2/zOS Database At least 1 year experience in at least one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant technologies Basic knowledge in LEAN methodologies Basic knowledge in Maximo tool Certified in Database for the relevant DBMS platform Needs both. Looking for some lesser-skilled DBA's to come in at lower rates...has a pretty senior team but lacking folks with a year or two, maybe 3 - 5 of IMS or DB2 MF DBA skills.
