Veterans United Home Loans is seeking interns to join our dynamic and award-winning Marketing Department for the summer (May-August 2017) with the potential to extend in to the fall semester. This is a paid internship of 15-20 hours per week. The deadline to apply is April 21st. This position will not be originating loans.Internships are available in the following areas within the Marketing Department: Agent Marketing: Work with the Agent Marketing team to build working relationships with realtors and educate agents about the VA Loan.Complete data management tasks in CRM and Excel (experience with Excel preferred).Fulfill special projects as needed.Research real estate agents and products.Help organize and plan real estate conference attendance and participation.Photography:Coordinate, confirm scheduling and execute employee photoshoots both in-studio and on location.Retouch, resize and organize photographs according to brand standards and department procedure.Take additional photos as needed.Experience with a digital SLR camera and photo lighting tools/editing software preferred, experience in videography is a plus.Social Media:Execute on creative strategy determined by the social media manager.Assist in conceptualizing and executing compelling social media content.Communicate with VUHL customers and aid in collection and organization of user-generated content.Monitor peer and competitor social hubs for ideas and inspiration.Stay abreast of social media trends and best practices.Archive social media content for compliance purposes.Previous experience with social media for marketing and business needs is a plus, but not required.Design:Brainstorm and create various projects to be presented to the Director of Marketing.Assist members of the Marketing department to design materials such as flyers, posters, logos, brochures, videos, web advertising, etc.Post content to public and private websites.Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, & Photoshop and/or other common design and layout applications is preferred.
